Volunteer With Us
Who We Look Out For
Thrive is always on the lookout for individuals who want to be the engine of change. We seek students and professional volunteers who have a passion for the social sector.
We work alongside some of the most influential organisations in the social sector, helping them redefine their operational models and break new ground – creating lasting impact for their beneficiaries, volunteers and donors. If you have new ideas, passion for the social sector and would like to meet other like-minded individuals, volunteer with us today!
For Professional Volunteers
We welcome working professionals with experience in the social sector and relevant skills such as strategy, marketing and stakeholder engagement to join us as a Project Advisor.
Project Advisors will help mentor and build our project team’s capabilities and solve the most pressing challenges for our non-profit and social enterprise partners.
Thrive has been a great opportunity for me to use my skills from consulting to solve pressing challenges faced
by non-profits. I’m now on my third project with Thrive, and have been very impressed by the students’
commitment to creating social good and producing impressive deliverables for our non-profit clients

Volunteering with Thrive is one of the social projects where I think my skills and time are put to good use and
translate into a meaningful impact. It gave me a unique opportunity to work on social causes I care about and
to coach and learn from a team of young and talented student volunteers. The experience is meaningful, the
project is well-run and the student volunteers are very professional and capable.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as a PA at Thrive. Thrive’s projects are significantly different: these projects present a unique and interesting set of challenges as the problems faced by non-profits are distinct from those faced by corporate entities; these projects also provide support to NPOs above and beyond monetary donations. Working with student teams has always been an excellent experience, and I have always left impressed by their engagement, motivation, and skill sets.

I initially joined Thrive Social Consulting with the hopes of doing some good for the community given the projects were
taken on in the spirit of aiding non profits in Singapore. Not only was I able to achieve this during my 2 projects as an
Associate Consultant, I was able to learn more about a career in consulting through my project mates and lead! Coming in as
a Y1 with little experience in consulting, I immensely enjoyed my experience in Thrive as I was given an opportunity to grow
and develop my critical thinking and problem solving skills. I also appreciated the warm and friendly members in Thrive, who
were always willing to answer any questions I had about consulting and NPOs.
Phebe LauSMU Associate Consultant (2021
My experience with Thrive has been a really enriching one. The project journey exposed my team and I to many stakeholders
within the social sector and enabled me to understand on an intimate level some of the challenges both our organisation
and their beneficiaries faced. This deep-dive enabled my team and I to deliver a unique deliverable for our client, with
positive long term implications for our end beneficiaries. I am proud to have worked with my team, and with the Thrive
leadership's support, to have made a lasting impact in the social sector.
Neel ModhaSMU Engagement Lead (2021), SMU LKCSB Valedictorian (2022)
As someone who used to actively volunteer, I am passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in
need. Thrive Social Consulting has played a pivotal role in empowering me with valuable design thinking skills and providing
opportunities to create more impactful solutions. Now, I no longer limit myself to basic acts of charity like distributing
welfare packs or engaging with beneficiaries sporadically. Instead, I am equipped to develop strategies that enable
NPOs/NGOs to better manage, finance, and uplift the communities they serve, thanks to the invaluable guidance and
support from everyone I have encountered at Thrive.
Kang JingyiNTU Engagement Lead (2022)
Thrive has equipped me with invaluable skills and meaningful connections with both beneficiaries and friends. As
Engagement Lead, I was given the opportunity to explore innovative strategies and approaches to address the non-profit's
challenges and guidance given by the Project Advisor also challenged my problem-solving skills. The collaborative
environment at Thrive fostered a strong sense of camaraderie and strong working relationship. I continued to guide other
project teams as Project Director while honing relevant consulting skill sets and delivering meaningful meaningful projects.
Overall, my experience in Thrive has certainly enriched my university journey – if you are looking to be part of a
transformative and impactful experience, I highly recommend joining Thrive
